Olen York is a registered patent attorney with more than 24 years of experience advising innovators, entrepreneurs, startups, established businesses, and research-driven organizations on the strategic development, protection, commercialization, and enforcement of intellectual property assets. As the only patent attorney in the region holding an advanced law degree (LL.M.) in Intellectual Property, he combines deep technical legal knowledge with practical business insight to help clients transform innovation into competitive advantage.
Since 2002, Mr. York has represented clients throughout the United States in developing and implementing intellectual property strategies involving patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, and other proprietary assets. His practice encompasses every stage of the innovation lifecycle—from identifying protectable assets and securing intellectual property rights to licensing, commercialization, portfolio management, and enforcement. He has prepared and prosecuted patent applications across a broad range of technologies, defended clients against allegations of patent and trademark infringement, and represented clients in administrative proceedings before the United States Patent and Trademark Office, including matters involving patent validity and trademark opposition and cancellation.
